Earth Hour: It’s for your own good

It is acknowledged by all of us that our own deeds have made our pitiful planet to practically raze. There's still a small possibility that we, the people of Earth, can make our planet stay in existence a little bit longer than a fraction of second.

The onset of summer is experienced in most of the world. The extreme usage of air conditioners has begun de novo, not to mention all those lights! You people will be knocked for six when you'll apprehend your actions.

Do some of the people have a though that the summer gets hotter year after year? We call it Global Warming. As the population increases on a world scale, the use of myriad machines, especially air conditioners proportionally increases too, of course. These things, when running, release the harmful greenhouse gases, which when become a part of our atmosphere, absorb and emit solar radiation on a wide scale. This cause Global Warming, due to which the Earth gets superheated, and thing get even worse than ever.

Plus, the inessential lights and other electrical appliance surely suck the life out of the electricity, which can be used in a better and efficient way, to save the Earth rather than destroying it. The WWF has organized a global event, which we call the Earth Hour, appealing the households and businesses to turn off the superfluous lights and appliances for only an hour to divert the attention of the world towards the need to take the plunge on the climate change.

The Earth Hour 2010 has begun from March 27, 2010 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and will continue to be a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community; a call to stand up, to show the responsibility for our and our Earth's future.

People, this is the opportunity to show, at least a little concern to the last inhabitant planet in known universe; can't you just turn off the lights, at least for an hour! Are just 60 minutes to much to ask for our and our planet's fate? This is the only easiest way to contribute to help the environment. I mean, come on, just turn off the lights, can it be even simpler? And for the people with nagging thoughts, consider a house with more than a few lights turns them off at least for an hour, would save a gargantuan amount of energy and money on a world scale! All this energy would be saved for future use, so the energy production can be lessened to moderate the greenhouse gases and the climate.

An appliance, which is used the most, can be set to the most energy-efficient settings, but turning it off for at least an hour saves even a greater sum of energy. If just turning off the lights for an hour can save such a tremendous amount of energy, than why not become habitual. It must be kept in mind that one can make the difference.
